In the past there were two choices. Litho print – high quality but tough to justify on shorter runs or digital print - great for short runs at short notice on tight budgets, but always a quality compromise compared to Litho.

But now there’s Jetpress High Definition Digital Print – a phenomenal new technology that delivers astounding quality on short run print jobs.

This new, high-definition, short-run suitable technique means no compromise on quality and no budget-busting bills. In fact,we think the quality is better than any other digital press we’ve seen on the market anywhere in the world.

Designed and built by Fujifilm (who know a thing or two about imaging) it harnesses ink-jet technology to commercial printing. It prints up to B2 on standard litho paper, it uses eco-friendly water-based inks, and it produces results on short runs that are equal to litho and better than anything digital that has gone before.

And because it is digital, it can handle variable data on the fly – everything that can be printed can be personalised – even complex items like brochures.

Variable data / Personalisation

The Jetpress 720S can print your personalised data on both sides of the sheet. So you can create bespoke variable data printed individual documents for your clients adding in personalised information such as:

How does the Jetpress achieve this, accurately and at speed?

To handle double sided variable data applications, a barcode is printed in the non-image area of every sheet. When the sheet is backed up, the barcode is read and the press downloads the right data for that sheet in the 1.3 seconds before printing guaranteeing front and back page matching.

Thanks to the introduction of newly developed, ultra-high capacity servers and data transfer system, the Jet Press 720S is able to print the second side on-the-fly at the full press speed of 2700 B2 sheets per hour.

The latest in bleed-free ink coagulation technology means it can print the most complex of fine lines in the smallest type ideal for security micro printing which is unreadable to the naked eye.

Technical blurb

The Jet Press 720S features a new generation of printhead technology, with each B2 width print bar built up of 17 individually replaceable modular printheads, each with 2,048 nozzle

s. This equates to 34,816 nozzles per bar, with each nozzle activated at a discharge frequency of up 100 kHz, depositing droplet sizes down to 2pl. The SAMBA™ print bar also takes advantage of unique VersaDrop™ technology, 

allowing the size and shape of each ink drop to be precisely controlled and placed on the paper, resulting in unbelievably fine lines and text.

 

 

Ultra smooth gradients

Gradients have always been a problem with digital print. Not any more!

Because the Jetpress 720S prints directly on to the paper rather than using a blanket, it can manage gradients with ease without losing any of the image quality, even the most difficult such as greys and dark blues.
